Recently, our Library Media Specialist Team has been discussing the creation of Makerspaces in our libraries to support innovation and provide a program for students to explore and engage in different ways. We watched various webinars on the topic and generated ideas about what each building's makerspace need or idea could be.
I arranged a full day workshop for further learning and development this February. The topic is not only on Makerspace, but also physical design of learning spaces and coding. Attending this workshop will be our Library Media Team, Model Classroom Teacher and then a team per building consisting of the Building Principal and three teachers. I have also invited local districts to attend with teams as well.
